What does mariachi funeral service cover?

Their is three different events we play during a funeral. You dont have to hire us for all three but I will list them.

1. Viewing
2. Mass
3. Burial Cite

Viewing : During the viewing we usually play songs while the family and friends sit down and listen to our music. During this time families tend to walk up and pay their respect while our mariachi plays songs that the person enjoyed. Its a celebration of life.

Mass : The service of catholic mass tends to last from 45min to 1 hour. During this hour. We play the songs allowed by the priest. We get to the church 15min early to talk to the priest and agree on the songs to be played. If their is time left we play outside the church while funeral service personal load up casket into the vehicle. From here we get in our cars and try to beat the caravan before they arrive to the cemetery to receive the body with music while they unload.

Cemetery/Burial Cite : Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale to our knowledge allows mariachi music. As a courtesy you should call staff and let them know that you will have live music. They usually allow. Note they might have restriction if their is another burial happening near by. We play 1-2 songs while they unload the casket and place it on it final resting spot. Priest or funeral home say a few words. This takes around 15minutes. If you hire doves to be release we play a song like, “Vuela Paloma”. After the last remarks or speeches we play songs chosen by the client or we play songs we think is appropriate if we have no request. The staff comes with machinery and start the burial. We continue playing till the hour is over. This whole process takes roughly 1 hour.

Do you choose the songs?

Our mariachi knows most of the songs in our genre. Our clients get choose the songs. We are there to please our clients and make the celebration of life memorable. We do not have a list of songs of our entire repertory because their will be to many to list them all. We just ask to please chose Mariachi songs.
